PBAAT 2019: HIMPUNAN PENYELIDIK DAN AHLI AKADEMIK

Buat julung kalinya bumi UniSZA menyaksikan penyelidik dan ahli akademik bahasa Arab Asia Tenggara berhimpun dalam satu persidangan yang dianjurkan oleh Pusat Pengajian Bahasa Arab, Fakulti Bahasa dan Komunikasi (FBK), UniSZA. Persidangan Bahasa Arab Negara-negara Asia Tenggara Kali Ke- 3 (PBAAT 2019) telah berlangsung dengan jayanya pada 11 dan 12 September 2019, bertempat di UniSZA Kampus Gong Badak. Persidangan ini dianjurkan secara bersama oleh UniSZA dan Persatuan Bahasa Arab Malaysia, Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Ikatan Pengajar Bahasa Arab Se-Indonesia, Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry dan Yayasan Asia Tenggara Kerajaan Thailand.

Persidangan kali ketiga ini meneruskan legasi yang telah dimulakan pada persidangan kali pertama di Brunei pada tahun 2017 dan kali kedua di Acheh, Indonesia pada tahun lepas. Persidangan kali ketiga ini memberikan tumpuan kepada aspek penyediaan buku teks bahasa Arab yang merupakan salah satu elemen penting dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran.

Eid Mubarak Celebration

On 2 July 2019 FBK organised a Hari Raya celebration. The event was held in the Meeting Room and attended by FBK staff and guests from other faculties and departments. On this joyous occasion, staff and guests were feted with a splendid array of popular traditional and modern dishes. It was also an occasion for UniSZA staff to foster a harmonious relationship with each other.

Welcoming New TESLians@FBK

The Faculty of Languages and Communication (FBK) organised a Minggu Mesra Siswa (MMS) programme for its 78 new Diploma in TESL students on Friday 21 June 2019. This orientation programme was officiated by the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulazhan Ab Halim and attended by the management of the faculty.

The programme started with the montage and slide show as an introduction to the faculty. In his speech, the Dean, besides welcoming the students, reminded them of their responsibilities as students and to uphold the good image of the faculty and the university at all times.

The students were also briefed on the structure of their diploma programme and matters of academic nature and student welfare. After the briefing, students were given an opportunity to pose questions and raise matters pertaining to the programme. The programme ended with the hope that our new students have benefited from it.
