Introduction

The International Conference on Space Weather and Satellite Application (IceSSAT), scheduled to take place from 23 to 25 August 2024, will be hosted at the Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) in Terengganu, Malaysia. This prestigious event is being organized by the East Coast Environmental Research Institute (ESERI), UniSZA.

Keynote Speakers

Prof. Pornchai Supnithi is a full professor at Telecommunication Engineering Department, School of Engineering, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand. His research focuses on Ionospheric study, GNSS technology, Communication and Data storage technology, especially signal and data processing in these fields. His laboratory maintains several ionospheric monitoring stations in Thailand (ionosonde, VHF radar, beacon receivers, GNSS receivers) and Thai GNSS and Space Weather Information Website.  He has published over 80 international journals and 3 books/chapters. At present, he is an Executive Committee member of International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy (IAGA),  Steering Committee member of Asia-Oceania Space Weather Alliance (AOSWA), country representatives of International Space Weather Initiative (ISWI) and International reference Ionosphere (IRI) committee.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rokhis Khomarudin is a researcher in the field of remote sensing technology and geomatics who have long been involved in the research of remote sensing applications, especially in the fields of environment and disaster management. He graduated and received his PhD in Geography of Remote Sensing from Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich in 2010. In his professional career, he was the head of the Department of Environment and Disaster Management from 2011 to 2014 and the Director of Remote Sensing Applications Center at the National Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (LAPAN) from 2014 to 2021. Now, he is an acting director of research center for geoinformatics under National Research and Innovation Agency, Indonesia (BRIN).

Professor Yudi Nurul Ihsan is a distinguished figure in Tropical Marine Ecology and Fisheries, holding the esteemed position of Department Head of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Padjadjaran, Bandung since 2020. He obtained his Professional Education of Engineers,University Hasanuddin, Makasar, Indonesia in 2019. Throughout his academic career, he has held important leadership positions. He was conferred with his doctor degree (Dr) in Marine Biogeochemistry from Christian Albrechts Universitaet zu Kiel, Germany, from 2008 to 2012. Notably, he has published many articles related to his field of expertise and awarded with research grants in marine ecology and fisheries. His commitment to the University of Padjadjaran, Bandung in alleviating the education and research levels is remarkable.

Prof. Dr. Noel Micheal Andre Holmgren is a distinguished figure in Theoretical Ecology, holding the esteemed position of Department Head of Aquatic Resources at SLU, Sweden, since 2017. Simultaneously, he becomes Sweden Lund University's Research Leader, demonstrating his diverse range of experience. Throughout his academic career, he has held important leadership positions. He firmly established his dedication to education and research during his tenure as Head of the School of Bioscience at the University of Skövde, Sweden, from 2013 to 2017. He had previously held important administrative roles, most notably from 2008 to 2009 as Provost (Högskoledirektör) at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden. While serving as the University's Vice Rector for Education (Vicerektor utbildning), his commitment to education was clear.
